Interlock & Paver Sealing

Interlock pavers make a beautiful driveway, walkway, or patio — until the colour fades, the joint sand washes out, weeds take over, and ants build hills between the stones. Sealing interlock locks in the colour and stabilizes the whole surface. Rideau Sealcoating starts with a deep clean: we pull weeds, scrub out moss and stains, and power-wash the pavers and joints. Then we re-sand the joints with polymeric sand, which hardens when activated to lock the pavers together, resist weeds, and shed water. Finally we apply a quality paver sealer in your choice of finish — a natural look that just deepens the colour, or a wet-look gloss that makes the stone pop. Sealing does more than look good: it binds the joint sand so it stops washing out, blocks weeds and ant colonies, repels oil and water stains, and protects the pavers' surface from UV fade and salt. The result is richer colour, a firmer surface underfoot, and far less weeding and maintenance every summer.
